Oberschleissheim/Nuremberg, March 1, 2016 —- Construction software manufacturer SOFiSTiK will host the 25th SOFiSTiK Seminar in Munich on April 22 and 23, 2016. This year’s conference, SOFiSTiK Connecting Continents, will feature numerous world-class presentations and offer a broad survey of the use of software for analysis, design, and engineering in construction projects. The conference will focus on topics such as the construction of large bridges, building information modeling (BIM) for bridge construction, and building planning. The SOFiSTiK Seminar is one of the most renowned professional conferences for civil engineers, providing engineers, software users, industry experts, and developers and has been a very well-received platform for networking and discussion for many years now.

The presentation by Jean-Francois Klein from T ingénierie in Geneva will be one of the highlights of the conference. He will describe the planning and construction of the Third Bosphorus Bridge (Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge) from the perspective of a civil engineer. Additional presentations will be held by Carlo Galmarini (WaltGalmarini AG , Zurich, Switzerland) and Prof. Manfred Grohman (Bollinger + Grohmann Ingenieure, Frankfurt am Main, Germany).

The conference is intended for anyone who is interested in simplifying, accelerating, and enhancing the efficiency of construction planning and design processes with software. All presentations are either in English or translated simultaneously. The registration fee is €800 per person. For those interested in attending, the conference program and additional information is available at

“I’m very pleased that we are putting on the 25th SOFiSTiK Seminar this year, it’s an important anniversary,” says Thomas Fink, CEO of SOFiSTiK AG. “Having the opportunity to talk to the people who use our software and benefit from it on a daily basis, developing ideas based on conversations with them and understanding the challenges that the companies in our industry are facing — that’s one of the cornerstones of our success. I look forward to participants from across the fields of planning, design, and construction, both within and outside of the SOFiSTiK community. We’ve got a lot of valuable insights waiting for them.”
